REMARKABLE PEOPLE OF NEW ZEALAND


JOHN PHILLIP KEY
His name is John Phillip Key. He was born in Auckland, New Zealand, in august 9th, 1962. He was an only child of George and Ruth. He was met  his wife Bronagh when they were students at the school.He have two son, Stephie y Max. He is  Prime Minister of New Zealand from of November 19th, 2008.his education primary, it was in the school Aorangi and Richmond. his high school, it was the Burnside High School de Christchurch en 1978. he studied a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting from the University of Canterbury in 1981. he was excelled as an aggressive agent of  stock exchange.



ROGER OWEN DOUGLAS
Your name is Roger Owen Douglas. Douglas was born on 5 December 1937. His family had strong ties with the trade-union movement, and actively engaged in politics. His maternal grandfather Bill Anderton, who was Labour Member of Parliament for Eden from 1935 to 1946 and for Auckland Central from 1946 to 1960, was a cabinet minister in the Second Labour Government. His father Norman Douglas, a union secretary, was MP for Auckland Central from 1960 to 1975. His brother Malcolm Douglas was briefly Labour MP for Hunua 1978–79. Important events in his life was:1993, Roger Douglas opened a new chapter in New Zealand's political history by forming the Association of Consumers and Taxpayers. In 1995, after the MMP referendum, this became ACT New Zealand, the political party which contested the 1996 General Election and gained eight Parliamentary seats and at the 1999 General Elections, gained nine Parliamentary seats. And Sir Roger has been President of ACT New Zealand for several years, retiring from the position at the party's 2001 Annual Conference. Sir Roger returned to the New Zealand Parliament as an ACT List MP in the General Election of 2008. His Studies are Douglas received his secondary education at Auckland Grammar School, and gained a degree in accountancy from the University of Auckland. His Professional achievements are: 1985 Euromoney Magazine Award for Finance Minister of the Year. 1991 - Miembro de la Orden de los Caballeros Bachelor. 1996 Max Schmidheiny Premio a la Libertad por sus contribuciones a la preservación y el desarrollo de un orden social libre y económico. 1997 Ludwig Erhard Premio de Periodismo Económico. 

RUTH RICHARDSON
Richardson was born in southern Taranaki on 13 December 1950. Her family had a long history in the area. Her father was active in the National Party's Patea branch. Richardson decided on a career in Parliament at an early age, before she even left high school. Sir Roy Jack, a National Party MP and a friend of her family, advised her to study law, which she did. Richardson gained a law degree with honours from University of Canterbury. In 1975, Richardson married Andrew Wright, a colleague from the Department. Richardson was brought up as a Roman Catholic, and after finishing primary school, was sent to Sacred Heart College, a Catholic girls' high school in Wanganui.  After graduating, she worked for the Department of Justice, again following Sir Roy Jack's advice. In 1978, Richardson contested the National Party's nomination for the Tasman seat. She won the nomination, but in the 1978 election itself, she failed to defeat incumbent Labour MP Bill Rowling (who was leader of his party at the time). In 1980, she was invited to contest the nomination for Selwyn, an electorate just outside Christchurch which was held by retiring National MP Colin McLachlan. She won the nomination, and in the 1981 elections, was elected to Parliament. Subsequent career. Ruth Richardson left parliament the following year, although continued to be involved in politics through her advocacy of the ACT New Zealand party. ACT, established by Roger Douglas and his allies, promotes policies very close to those of Richardson. She has also a number of roles related to business and corporate governance, and served on a number of corporate boards. She is also a member of the Mont Pelerin Society, founded by economist Friedrich von Hayek.
